Blog Makeover!
How do you like our new look? I have been wanting to have a "blog makeover" for a while now but didn't really feel I could justify spending money to have one done. Then out of the blue on AWAA yahoo group Carla mentioned that she was going to start doing these makeovers to help raise some extra money for their second adoption and wanted to know if anyone wanted to be her "guinea pig". She didn't say it quite like that, but that's what she meant....I think. Anyway she said she'd do the first two people that responded and I was so excited to find out that I was one of them! Thank you so much Carla you did an amazing job, I love it! So if you're in need of a new look for your blog I would highly recommend CARLA!

It will be a month that we have been home tomorrow and I'm happy to say we are all feeling better and most importantly Noelle is on a schedule!
Noelle is doing wonderful! We are so in love with this little girl the Lord has blessed us with!
She has adjusted so well to her new home and she loves her Dada! He works at home and his office is in our basement and every time he comes upstairs she wants to be held and played with by him and will look at mama and wave and say "bye bye" to me and she'll go down with him. He let's her play and get into EVERYTHING! For those that know Mike if you can believe this he showed her how to open his CD cases and take them out! I don't know what he's thinking.....in 6 months when she's two and she goes down when he's not looking and opens 200 and they're thrown all over his office I wonder if he'll still think it's cute? LOL! I think she may just have him wrapped around his finger already : )
I know there are some of you that read this blog that are wondering what her day is like so here's her schedule.....she get's up around 7:30-8:30 and she has her breakfast and plays. Around 10:30 she has her bath which she loves now! I give her a 4 oz bottle at 11 and she sleeps until about 1:30. Then it's all play until 9 when she has a 6 oz bottle that usually puts her right to sleep. And she'll sleep all night....well, when she's not coughing she'll sleep all night. The last two nights have be wonderful!!!
She is still not eating great, but is doing better at least trying new foods.
The big news is she is starting to take steps!!!!! It's so cute!!!! I bet she'll be walking in the next couple of weeks. Mike and I played a little game last night with her. We took a little bag of fruit snacks and split them and she would walk to him and get a piece and then she'd walk to me for a piece. She did this for like 20 minutes. It was so cute. We are going to do that again with her tonight and video tape it. So we'll have to post it tomorrow. I bet it won't be long before she gives up the crawling and is walking everywhere. I'll keep you posted : )
Robin loves her little sissy. She is a big help on the weekend and likes to put her down for her nap and loves to change her clothes. Noelle is doing better with her and not screaming as much when Robin tries to play with her. Here are some cute pictures I took yesterday of our China doll : )

Noelle at home
Noelle is very inquisitive and is always trying new things, most of which crack us up big time. One thing that always makes us laugh is when we show her something new and amazing (turning a flashlight on and off in a dark room for example) she opens her mouth real wide (like she's saying "no stinking way....how is this possible!...). I could even see by her silhouette in the darkness her mouth gaping open in amazement.

Our first week home.
Where to begin?
Noelle seems to be adjusting very well to everything. She is a mommys girl, but is going to Daddy a lot more for play time. She is also going to Robin more too. But it's mommy she wants when she's crying or tired.
She has been pretty congested and was coughing alot in China and at home at night, but she seems to be getting over the cough and her nose is runny now so hopefully that means she's on the mend.
The first several nights she was falling asleep at 6ish and waking up around 3 to start the day which made mommy very tired. I've also been dealing with a cold and jet lag, so not being able to sleep has been hard. But I'm very happy to report that Monday she went to bed at 7 and slept till 12:30 and I gave her a bottle and changed her diaper and she was back in her crib at 1am and slept till 7! Last night she went to bed at 9 and slept all night and woke up at 8!!!!! LOVE that schedule!!!! Praying she'll do this all the time :)
Monday she went to the doctors. They took blood, gave her 3 shots so she wasn't a very happy girl that morning. We have to go back next week for more blood work and the following week for more shots :( poor baby. She weighs 17 pounds and is 28.75 inches long. She's not even on the chart for american girls, but for chinese girls she's in the 25% for everything...height, weight.
For those of you who have asked she is wearing mostly 12 months clothes (no bigger... they would fall off :). She has onesies that are 6 and 9 months and those fit great. The only reason she is wearing 12 months is the length. I took lots of 6-9 months and they really didn't fit good. Onesies....6-9 months...great! Pants....too short.
Overall she is doing wonderful. She is a very happy girl and very curious about everything around her. She love to imitate us and she LOVES Cheerios!!!
Maybe Mike will add to this later, but I need to go do some laundry while she's sleeping!
Mike will add pics later.
